Other December Choir Info

All Choirs:

​

Choir Pictures will take place on Wednesday, December 6th. 

  • All choir members need to bring their complete formal choir uniform to school and drop it off in the choir room in the morning.  Don’t forget your shoes.

  • Please make sure your uniform is labeled with your name and hanging in it’s plastic bag.

  •  Each choir will have their picture taken during their regular choir class. 

  • Individual pictures may be taken, as well.

  • Choir Uniforms should return home with the student at the end of the day.

Bethlehem City on Thursday, December 7th.

  • This is an OPTIONAL event.

  • If you would like to carol at Bethlehem City, you will need to be dropped off at West Conroe Baptist Church at 6:00 PM. 

  • Use the 336 entrance and tell the attendant you are singing with Peet Choirs.

  • Enter WCBC through the side entrance and meet in the Sanctuary.

  • You should wear red, green, or Christmas themed clothes. 

  • All students must be picked back up by 7:30 PM at the same entrance.

 

Chamber and Men’s Chorus

Conroe Christmas Pre-Parade Performance: Saturday, December 9th

  • This is our Feeder Concert, therefore it is a required event for these two choirs.

  • Wear Christmas/Holiday attire.

  • Arrive at Heritage Place (500 Metcalf Street) at 10:30 AM.

  • Peet Choirs will sing from 11:00-11:15 and then our students may stay to listen to the Bozman, Travis, Cryar, Stewart, Washington, and CHS Choirs.

  •  If you are participating in the Conroe Christmas Parade, you may leave as soon as we finish singing. 

  • If you are NOT participating in the Parade, you may be picked up between 12:00-1:00.

Advanced and Treble Choirs

West Conroe Baptist Church Performance: Sunday, December 10th

  • Advanced and Treble Choirs will sing Carol of the Cradle for WCBC’s Early Service. 

  • This is a required performance.

  • This is the piece that the WCBC Handbell Choir is playing for our Winter Concert.  As a thank-you, we are taking our song to them on Sunday morning.

  • Wear your Formal Choir Uniforms.

  • Arrive at WCBC at 7:30 AM and come in the front entrance straight into the sanctuary.

  • You are allowed to leave after the song portion of the service.  All student should be picked up by 9:15 AM

Winter Choir Concert

 

When:       Tuesday, December 5th

                        6:00 PM Start

Where:      Conroe High Auditorium

Pick Up:    If parents are not attending their child’s concert:

                  Students must be picked up at the front entrance of CHS by 6:45.

 

Dress Rehearsal: 4:00-6:00 PM 

  • Students in Chamber Choir, Men’s Chorus, Advanced Choir, and Treble Choir will stay after school and ride a bus to CHS for dress rehearsal with extra instrumentation.

  • Students in Concert Choir and Symphonic Choir will go home as usual and need to arrive at CHS by 5:30 PM.

 

What to Wear:

 

BOYS: 

  • White Tux Shirt

  • Black Tux Pants

  • Peet Choir Vest

  • Black LONG Socks

  • Black Dress Shoes

  •  A Black Bow Tie will be given to you before the concert begins and taken up at the end of the concert.

 

Boys should bring their uniform to school.  They will change into their shirts and ties after dress rehearsal at CHS. They will need to bring their entire uniform to the choir room in the morning.

 

GIRLS:

  • Black Concert Dress

  • Black Hose or Knee-Highs  

  • Black Dress Shoes with not more than a one inch heel.

  • NO SPORTS BRAS

  • No jewelry except stud earrings.

 

Girls in Chamber, Advanced, and Treble Choirs will change into their dresses after dress rehearsal. They will need to bring their entire uniform to the choir room in the morning.  Girls in Concert and Symphonic Choir should change at home and arrive at 5:30 at CHS dressed in their uniforms.
